Studio Artist Program

Marc Brotherton works with acrylic paint, drawing and design. He sees his work as a way to exorcize demons, request attributes, express desires, or for specific actions to come about. He is interested in the transformative potential of painting.

Brotherton has lived in many different locations throughout the United States. He received his BFA degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and his MFA degree from Brooklyn College. Brotherton exhibits his work in solo and group shows in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, and Albuquerque. He teaches drawing at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta. He has lived in Decatur, GA since 2007.
